  I like the idea of using encrypted filesystems to store sensitive data. It is one reason why I am so fond of Mandrake, which supports encrypted filesystems and encrypted swap by default (unlike some other distros)
  
  What I find especially interesting about this article is that it discusses using pam_mount to automatically mount and unmount the encrypted filesystems when the user logs in and out.
